Since graduating from Flinders University in 2007, Skye has worked as a paediatric speech pathologist in both South Australia and Tasmania providing services in not for profit, private practice and educational settings. Skye has extensive experience working with children with a range of challenges including speech and language delays and disorders, Autism Spectrum Disorder, Down’s syndrome, developmental delay, intellectual and physical disability, complex communication needs, and complex medical and feeding difficulties. Skye has participated in a range of professional development courses, including those focussing on feeding difficulties and their assessment and treatment and is committed to ongoing development in this area.

Over the years, Skye has developed a keen interest and undertaken specialised training in the areas of early paediatric feeding, feeding difficulties, tongue and lip ties and breastfeeding and the effect difficulties in these areas can have on clients and their families. Skye is passionate about children’s and baby’s early feeding experiences and the impact of early intervention on children’s ongoing feeding skills. She is currently working towards her International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) certification.
Skye enjoys working closely with families to ensure targeted, family centred therapy to meet the needs of both the client and their family. As a mum of 2 young children, Skye understands the impact of feeding difficulties and how tricky it can be to juggle life’s commitments.
