Nicola is a qualified Speech Pathologist with experience in supporting children, adults and their families with a wide range of communication and swallowing needs. She developed an interest in feeding therapy through guiding her own children’s feeding development, and is excited to bring her enthusiasm to the Lively Eaters team. As a parent, she understands how challenging mealtimes can be, and the impact this can have on the entire family. She recognises that every family has its own unique set of circumstances and challenges, and believes in providing individualised therapy that is flexible and relevant to each family’s needs. 

– Lynn Boyd –

When not dodging hippos and elephants in Africa as a safari guide and lodge manager, Lynn has been a classroom teacher with a focus on working with children with special needs. Now, happily settled in the Adelaide Hills she enjoys pottering around in her garden with Charlie the Border Collie and his flock of Silkie chooks.  

Lynn completed her Bachelor of Education in 1990 and is currently completing her Certificate 3 Allied Health Assistant course. Lynn works at both our Littlehampton and Kensington Centres. At Lively Eaters Lynn enjoys watching the children grow in confidence as they become part of the ‘Lively Family’. 

Libby Dunkley
– Libby Dunkley –

Qualifications:
Cert 3 in Allied Health Assistant


Libby is a qualified Allied Health Assistant (cert 3 in Allied Health Assistant). She enjoys working
alongside the therapists to keep sessions running smoothly and efficiently to give the clients the best
outcomes.  Libby has worked in hospitality for several years including as a food service assistant at
Flinders Private Hospital covering diverse roles. She has a love for working with children and seeing
them develop into their own little personalities.

– Hannah Caon –

Hannah has over 10 years of experience working with children both as an Early Childhood Educator and Speech Pathologist. She has a passion for collaborating with families to achieve the best outcomes for children. Hannah has always been passionate about supporting children to achieve their potential, celebrating and building upon their strengths. 

Hannah understands the importance of positive experiences with food and the challenges the family can be presented with at mealtimes. She finds reward in learning from her clients and their families and supporting the family unit as a whole. Hannah values her ability to build authentic, trusting relationships with children and families of diverse backgrounds.

Hannah has worked with children with Autism Spectrum Disorder, speech and communication disorders, intellectual disabilities and developmental delays. She is trained in Key Word Sign and PODD and is committed to ongoing professional development related to feeding and sensory processing.


 

Alice Bradley

Bachelor of Nutrition and Dietetics with Honours


Alice is an Accredited Practising Dietitian who has a passion for working with children and families to overcome their feeding difficulties. Her main interests include disordered eating, type 1 diabetes, gastrointestinal issues and promoting healthy eating environments and habits. Alice has been involved in childhood nutrition research through both Flinders University and the University of South Australia.
Alice worked in Adelaide’s northern suburbs and as a research dietitian before moving overseas to explore new challenges. Whilst living in England, Alice worked in a community eating disorder service and values the input from multiple health professionals when helping clients achieve their goals. She uses a holistic approach to explore feeding difficulties and plan targets which are realistic for children and their families.
Outside of work Alice is involved in team sport and enjoys baking and exploring new recipes. In 2020 she is conducting further study to explore how eating and mental health are intertwined.


– Dr Dildeepa Naveen –

Dildeepa is passionate about caring for children and their families. As a parent, she understand the stress and anxiety associated with concerns about a child’s health, development or wellbeing. Dildeepa works collaboratively with families by respecting families’ choices and their decision‐making recognising them as equal partners in supporting the child’s learning and development.

Dildeepa has worked within the Adelaide Paediatric Network including Women’s and Children’s Hospital, Flinders Medical Centre and Lyell McEwin Hospital, Port Augusta Hospital Services as a trainee for over 7 years. She has worked as a consultant in the Child Development Unit, WCH and currently works as a Consultant on the Metabolic team, WCH. Dildeepa is an affiliate lecturer at the University of Adelaide.

Dildeepa provides specialist paediatric care for newborns, children and adolescents across a range of paediatric medical and developmental conditions. She is committed to supporting families of children, with chronic progressive conditions who have complex care needs, ensuring their care is well coordinated and they are able to access the services they need and receive the best possible care.

– Georgina Holloway –

Georgina qualified as a speech pathologist in the U.K. in 1996 and is passionate about speech pathology. Over the past 21 years she has provided speech pathology services across Australia and the North of England. Read More

She has worked across all areas of paediatric domains including government, not for profit and private services, working in community and private clinics, clients’ homes, hospitals and schools. She helps children with a range of challenges including Autism Spectrum Disorder, communication disorders, developmental delays, and physical impairments to eat and communicate.

Over the course of her career Georgina has completed many courses and worked along a variety of other professionals, developing her skills in the areas of Autism Spectrum Disorders, Sensory Processing Disorder and breast feeding.

Georgina strives to be excellent in all she does and prides herself on building genuine relationships with her clients and their families. She believes that, with a strong foundation, all children can achieve their true potential.

Georgina has just moved to Adelaide with her husband and two daughters (11 & 13) from private practice and the Mater Hospital in Queensland where she was focusing on communication and feeding skills from birth to teens. She is excited to be working at Lively Eaters and looks forward to working alongside parents and families to improve your children’s lives.

Skye Shute

– Skye McGregor –

Since graduating from Flinders University in 2007, Skye has worked as a paediatric speech pathologist in both South Australia and Tasmania providing services in not for profit, private practice and educational settings. Skye has extensive experience working with children with a range of challenges including speech and language delays and disorders, Autism Spectrum Disorder, Down’s syndrome, developmental delay, intellectual and physical disability, complex communication needs, and complex medical and feeding difficulties. Skye has participated in a range of professional development courses, including those focussing on feeding difficulties and their assessment and treatment and is committed to ongoing development in this area.

Over the years, Skye has developed a keen interest and undertaken specialised training in the areas of early paediatric feeding, feeding difficulties, tongue and lip ties and breastfeeding and the effect difficulties in these areas can have on clients and their families. Skye is passionate about children’s and baby’s early feeding experiences and the impact of early intervention on children’s ongoing feeding skills. She is currently working towards her International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) certification.
Skye enjoys working closely with families to ensure targeted, family centred therapy to meet the needs of both the client and their family. As a mum of 2 young children, Skye understands the impact of feeding difficulties and how tricky it can be to juggle life’s commitments.

Julia Boase

Julia is an Accredited Practising Paediatric Dietitian and Nutritionist with 16 years of experience. She has worked in some of Australia’s top tertiary public and private paediatric centres, including The Women’s and Children’s Hospital, Adelaide and The Royal Children’s Hospital, Melbourne. She has post graduate qualifications in Paediatric Nutrition, and further training in the SOS (sequential, oral sensory approach) approach to feeding.

Julia has a large amount of experience managing children with food allergies and feeding difficulties. She has a keen interest in tube weaning and helping to expand the diets of children with limited intake. Julia’s approach is to help families make eating a calm and enjoyable experience whilst helping to look for creative and considered ways that they can meet their child’s nutritional requirements. Julia recognises that there is more than one pattern of eating that will meet a child’s nutritional needs.

Julia has an interest in nutrition research, much of that in the area of Cystic Fibrosis. She has presented at conferences both nationally and internationally and has been heavily involved in teaching students enrolled in Nutrition and Dietetics at Flinders University of South Australia.

Julia is a passionate dietitian who understands that nutrition is a science, but eating is highly emotional. As a mother of four young, often fussy children, she understands what is required to put a meal on the table everyday.

– Lynly Mader –

Lynly has over 30 years working with families experiencing multiple adversities. In this time she has worked both within Mental health and Paediatric settings, within inpatient, outpatient and community development programs.

Lynly has taught at both at an undergraduate and postgraduate level, with both Medical and allied health professionals.  Her work has been presented both within Australia and Internationally. She has contributed to several published works that focus on Maternal emotional health and Parent/ Infant relationships.

Lynly has a commitment  to multidisciplinary approaches to feeding difficulties and  to respecting the knowledge  of parents within practice.  Within the last 18 years her focus has been on supporting parents whose children have diagnoses or are in circumstances that have made parenting a challenge.  Feeding difficulties and conditions that threaten the health and development of one’s child are highly stressful  and the effort required to manage behaviours can be difficult to sustain. Lynly works with parents to help them be in the best position to help their children achieve in developmental areas of feeding, sleeping and emotional regulation /arousal.
